This compact, rugged and stylish Solar Wind-up FM/AM radio promises assured listening, anytime, anywhere as well as providing an integrated LED flashlight. Offering the choice of wind-up, solar and utility supplied electricity power, the EyeMax radio incorporates the latest in Freeplay's self-sufficient technology - which means unparalleled sound quality, playtime performance, dependability, and durability. The EyeMax will play (Flaslight or Radio Alone) for approximately 35 minutes per 30-second recharging wind (normal volume), and can be wound at anytime to recharge it's battery for as much playtime as needed. The EyeMax LED FM/AM radio can give up to 25 hours playtime, depending on playback volume, when fully charged.

Attention to detail in this exceptionally well designed radio is found in all of it's features - from the rubberized and recessed control knobs and the tough, glass re-enforced Nylon cranking handle, to it's high capacity internal rechargeable NiMH battery , the EyeMax is trully an exceptional product. The wind-up mechanism is the world's most efficient human energy conversion system. The winder can be cranked in both directions and the harder it is cranked, the more energy you create. A crank level LED indicates the optimum winding speed, but the only limitation to how much energy you can create and store is you.

The EyeMax's highly efficient and robust solar panel is powerful enough when exposed to sufficient sunlight that it can both, charge the internal rechargeable NiMH battery, and drive the radio at the same time. Even when not in use, if left in direct sunlight the radio will store solar energy in it's battery. The EyeMax is equipped with an DC power in facility that allows you to charge the radio and run it from an electrical outlet using the supplied AC/DC Adapter. The EyeMax is not only stylish and self-sufficient, it also sounds great offering fantastic reception capabilities, and even has a headphone jack for added user convenience.
